Terms of Use
By using Locus you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.
Description of the service
Locus is a focus and app-blocking tool for iOS. Using Apple's Screen Time framework, it makes the apps you choose inaccessible during the focus sessions you define. The app works offline and requires no account.
License to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use Locus on your personal devices within Apple's applicable terms. You agree not to reverse engineer, misuse, or use the app for purposes other than intended.
Disclaimer
Locus is provided “as is”. App blocking is subject to the limits of Apple's Screen Time system and is not 100% foolproof:
- It may be possible to bypass blocking by turning off Screen Time permission in system settings, changing the device clock, or deleting the app.
- Locus does not guarantee that blocking will work without interruption under all conditions, and cannot be held responsible for consequences arising from such situations.
- Strict mode and internal friction are designed to provide deterrence while aware of these limits; they are not a fully tamper-proof guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use Locus.
Intellectual property
The Locus brand, design and software belong to us. These terms grant you only the right to use the app; they transfer no intellectual property rights.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; the “last updated” date above shows the effective date.
