Privacy Policy
Locus is designed with privacy as a core principle. In short: we don't ask for an account, we have no server, and your data never leaves your device. Below is what that means in detail.
At a glance
- No account, no sign-up. You don't enter an email, phone number or any identifying information to use Locus.
- No server of ours. All your preferences are stored only on your device; they are not sent to us.
- No tracking. We use no analytics, advertising identifiers or third-party trackers.
Data we collect
Locus collects no personal data about you, sends nothing to a server, and shares nothing with third parties. Everything the app needs to work — focus modes, durations, schedules and session records — is kept only on your device, in the app's local storage.
Screen Time data
Locus uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity) to block apps. Here is what you should know:
- When you pick the apps you want to block, Apple gives us only opaque (anonymous) tokens. Locus cannot see the names or identifiers of the apps you selected — it only knows how many you chose.
- Your app usage time (how long you spend in which app) is processed only inside an area Apple isolates, never leaves that area, and never reaches us in any form.
- This data is protected by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Sharing with third parties
We don't share, sell or rent any data to third parties — because we collect no data to share.
Children's privacy
Since Locus collects no personal data from any user, no personal information — including data belonging to children — is processed.
Your rights
Because your data lives only on your device, you have full control. When you delete the app, all local preferences and settings Locus saved are removed from your device.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we refresh the “last updated” date on this page.
